Verification
Every claim carries a clear status.
A submission is not a fact. AOAL uses four plain labels so anyone can see how far the evidence behind a claim actually goes.
- Submitted01
Someone has proposed this record.
A community member added the record and its sources. Nothing has been checked yet. A submission is a starting point, not a fact.
- Sources checked02
The cited sources were opened and read.
A reviewer confirmed the links work and say what the submission claims they say. This does not mean the claim itself is proven.
- Independently verified03
A specific claim was checked against independent evidence.
One defined claim (for example, that a facility exists at a location) was confirmed with evidence from a source not connected to the submitter. Each claim is verified separately.
- Not established04
The claim is not proven. We say so openly.
Ownership, revenue, value or another claim could not be confirmed. AOAL labels the gap instead of filling it with a guess.
See it in practice
One asset, several claims, separate statuses.
This is an illustration of how a profile reads. It is not a real record.

- 01Each claim about an asset gets its own status.
- 02A status only moves up when there is evidence for it.
- 03Unproven ownership, revenue or value is labeled not established.
- 04Verifying an asset's data never means AOAL owns it or is backed by it.
